Changelog
What changed in the web app and on hasarak.com, newest first.
Each channel, page and thread in the web app now has its own URL, so you can bookmark it, share it, and use the Back button. Modern reopens the last space you had open, and each space remembers your last channel or page.
Get push notifications in your browser for the same things that reach your inbox. Your notification settings and quiet hours still apply, and Settings › Notifications can send a test to each of your devices.
When you select a message that has replies, its thread opens on the right while you keep moving through the channel.
Connect PostHog with a personal API key to let @ai look up your product analytics. The connector can only read data.
The Minimal style’s keys have been reworked so each key does one thing. It adds a Vim-style : command line, / for workspace search, a key list on ?, and a composer with full Vim editing. Pages in Minimal open in a Vim editor that keeps formatting visible.
You can now mention usernames that contain dots, and email addresses in a message are no longer treated as mentions. In the Minimal style, mentions in the message at the top of a thread also show as pills.
Admins can now add any MCP server as a connector by entering its URL and any headers it needs. @ai can use your connectors’ tools and skills, and connectors now show their own logos in Settings.
hasarak.com has new docs pages with step-by-step guides for enabling each connector, including Cursor and ChatGPT. Each card on the Integrations page links to its guide.
Manage plan now opens the billing portal for Team subscriptions. If you cancel during a trial, Settings › Billing shows the date your plan ends.
Connect your Cursor and ChatGPT accounts in Settings › AI, then mention @ai in a message to get an answer in its thread, billed to your own plan. If you add several accounts, choose whether @ai takes turns between them or uses the one with the most usage left.
The Start free buttons on hasarak.com, and app.hasarak.com/signup, now open the create-account form directly. Sign in is still one click away.
Group channels and pages into spaces. Spaces are now the tabs along the top, and a space’s channels and pages appear as a second row of tabs below them. Anyone can see and join any space, and reactions now use a set of colourful icons.
In the Modern style, hovering a message shows icon buttons for Reply and React, with Edit and Delete in a menu. Editing turns the composer into a card with Cancel and Save. The thread panel is wider on large screens and now looks like the channel view.
Pages now open in a rich editor, and you can edit the title in place. Everyone editing a page sees each other’s changes as they type, and there’s no Save button because everything saves as you type.
hasarak.com now has a Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Data Processing Agreement and Cookie Notice, effective October 23, 2026. They describe what Hasarak stores, for how long, and how to export or delete your data.
Change your username directly in Settings. Admins can also change the workspace’s default channel and time zone there.
In the Modern style, nothing stays highlighted while you aren’t using it, and keyboard shortcuts use ⌘/Ctrl or ⌥/Alt instead of single-letter keys. Text contrast has also been improved.
Admins can download the workspace’s channels, messages, threads and pages from Settings › General. Pages are exported as Markdown.
Search finds messages and pages by the words in them. Results only include conversations you can see.
Paste text, screenshots or copied files straight into the message box. Pasted images and files are attached to your next message, and you can remove them before you send.
Each member now chooses for themselves which mentions, direct messages and thread replies reach their inbox. Changing your own notifications no longer needs an admin.
Admins can remove members, see and revoke open invites, and send an invite that only works for one email address. Guests can read pages but not edit them, can’t see private channels, and use connector tools only when an admin allows it.
Attach files and images to messages and thread replies. You can also change a message’s files when you edit it. Only people who can see a message can open its files.
Admins can send invites by email. When you open an invite link, the page shows which workspace you’re joining, who invited you and your role. If you forget your password, choose Forgot password? on the sign-in page to get a reset link by email.
You can now edit and delete your own messages, and admins can delete any message. Changes show up for everyone right away. Deleting the first message of a thread keeps other people’s replies.
Create channels, join and leave them, and archive the ones you no longer need. Archived channels stay readable. Private channels are now truly private, visible only to the people in them.
Workspace admins can upgrade to the Team plan from Settings › Billing through a hosted checkout, and change or cancel the plan in the billing portal. The Free plan limits shown on the pricing page now apply. Messages past the history limit are hidden rather than deleted, and they come back on Team.
You can delete your account from Settings › Account and confirm with your password. If you are the last admin of a workspace that others still use, you’ll need to hand over or close that workspace first.
Create an account and a new workspace in two steps, or choose Continue as guest to explore a workspace filled with sample data. A guest workspace lasts 30 days, and upgrading it from Settings › Account keeps everything in it.
Opening app.hasarak.com/share with a link brings up a share composer with the message already filled in. Pick a channel and send. If you install the web app, it also shows up in your system share menu.
Hasarak is now an MCP server. Add its URL to an MCP client, sign in with your Hasarak account, and the client can work with your channels, messages, threads, pages and inbox, plus your connectors’ tools.
hasarak.com now has a home page, pricing for the Free and Team plans, comparison pages and integration pages. The web app lives at app.hasarak.com.
Write Markdown pages right next to your channels. Pages can hold images and Mermaid diagrams.
Admins can extend a workspace with connectors from Settings › Connectors, either from the built-in marketplace or by URL.
Hasarak is a keyboard-first team chat in your browser, with channels, threads and an inbox. Choose between two styles: Modern, or Minimal with Vim-style keys.
Free for up to 10 members.
