Integrations

GitHub pull requests, right in the thread.

Paste a pull request link and the GitHub connector replies in the thread with its title, state and size, so nobody has to open another tab to see whether it's merged.

Status Coming soon: the GitHub connector is built but not yet hosted on app.hasarak.com, so it can't be installed there yet.

GitHub in Hasarak

  • PR previews in the thread

Every github.com pull request link in a message gets a reply with the PR's repo and number, title, state (open, draft, merged or closed) and its +/− size.

  • Up to three PRs per message

Link a stack of related PRs in one message and each gets its own line in the same reply.

  • An MCP tool: pulls.get

Programs run by any MCP client can call tools.github.pulls.get({ owner, repo, number }) to read a PR, with the connector's credentials.

  • Used by other connectors

The Linear connector can ask for permission to call GitHub and add the state of PRs attached to an issue.

How the GitHub integration works

Hasarak connectors are small HTTP services. The GitHub connector subscribes to new messages in your workspace and looks for links like https://github.com/acme/web/pull/42. For each one it fetches the pull request from the GitHub API and posts a single reply in the message’s thread:

acme/web#42 · Fix sign-in redirect · merged · +34 −8

Replies go into the thread, never the channel, so a busy review channel stays readable and the context sits next to the conversation about the change.

Install it

Open Settings › Connectors in Hasarak and install GitHub from the built-in marketplace. It asks for two permissions: reading messages and writing replies. The connector posts as its own member, so you always know which replies came from it, and it can’t read DMs.

Use it from code

The workspace’s MCP server exposes the connector’s pulls.get tool. A program run by your MCP client can combine it with the built-in workspace tools: for example, read the PRs linked in a channel today and write a summary to a page. See the MCP integration.
